ABOUT BROCK CASTING

The casting problem every Queensland producer knows.

The talent is here. Queensland has extraordinary performers across every discipline, every background, every ability. The problem has never been the talent.

The problem is finding a casting director who actually knows them. Who is embedded in the community, not visiting it. Who understands what authentic inclusion requires on set, not just on paper.

That is the problem Brock Casting was built to solve.

WHAT WE SOLVE

Three things that make or break a casting process.

THE TEAM

People who have lived every side of the industry. For decades.

Different backgrounds, one shared commitment. Every brief you bring us is held by people who genuinely care how it lands.

Liza Brock

FOUNDER & CASTING DIRECTOR - MANAGING DIRECTOR - Brock Up Media Pty Ltd

From ’90s pop success with Teen Queens (two ARIA Gold records) to acting, television presenting, and building BMEG into one of Queensland’s leading talent agencies,  I’ve worked across every layer of the screen and performance industry.

After successfully selling that business, I returned with a clearer mandate: to shape what casting and talent development look like in a changing industry.

I now lead Brock Casting Services, working with producers to cast authentic, high-performing talent and deliver considered, inclusive casting solutions across screen and commercial work.

Liza is the founder of Lights On, an inclusive training and development initiative, and Co-Founder of QRATERS, an AI company building practical workflows and evaluation tools for creative production.

My work sits at the intersection of casting, inclusion, mental health advocacy, and emerging technology. I’m focused on building systems that expand access, improve decision-making in creative production, and strengthen Queensland’s screen ecosystem ahead of Brisbane 2032 and beyond.

Liza sits on the Industry Advisory Board member at the Australian Performing Arts Conservatory. And is a ture believer in collaboration.

Her credits span directing, producing, camera operation, and art direction across film, documentary, stage, and writers' rooms throughout Queensland.

Smart, witty, and deeply creative, she is recognised across the industry as a champion for authentic inclusion of disabled creatives on and off screen. As Co-Director of Lights On, she is actively building the pathways she herself needed. One of Queensland's most exciting emerging voices, and a storyteller determined to shift the culture of screen representation for generations to come.

We don't find you talent. We bring you a story.

Lights On Brand Partnerships is Australia's only end-to-end inclusion content studio. We find, train and develop neurodivergent and disabled talent, and when we bring someone to your brand, we arrive with a fully formed human story built from inside the community. Place, Produce, or Partner. Your audience will never forget it.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

Three things no interstate agency can offer you.

These are not selling points. They are structural advantages that show up in your casting outcomes.

PERSPECTIVE FROM EVERY SEAT

Performer. Talent manager. Agency founder. Casting director. Liza has held every role in this industry. That changes how she reads a brief, how she talks to talent, and how she delivers for you.

Disability-led from the top

Queensland's only disability-led casting agency, with neurodivergent leadership built into the team. Inclusion is structural here, not aspirational. It shows in the work.

Service Invested in Queensland's future

Brisbane 2032 is the biggest screen opportunity this state has ever seen. We are already building for it, through Lights On, through our talent relationships, and through every production we cast today.

Let's cast something worth watching.

Submit your brief and we will come back to you with exactly what your production needs. Strong ideas always welcome.
